Anthony Perl
Anthony Perl
Anthony Perl began his career with a degree in broadcast journalism. Then he worked in Sydney Radio at 2UE in its heyday, building the station’s largest audience and a top-rating show from almost nothing. The corporate and not-for-profit world called for his communication skills before his entrepreneurial instincts took over, and CommTogether was born.
Over the years, Anthony was asked a few times to host a podcast for others, but when he launched the Biz Bites podcast in 2023, those enquiries became more consistent. It became clear that people needed help. It was not just the technical, editing, and publishing side that was a roadblock. Anthony saw that people needed to be better positioned as an expert on their own show, without worrying about all the things that go into making a podcast happen.
Anthony says he wants to change the world. “The best way to do that is by highlighting people who make difference and through great conversations make a real impact one person at a time.”
Podcasts Done For You was born to make people a Voice of Brilliance on their show.

Why podcasting is right for you
Why podcasting is right for you
Let’s start by saying that if you are not an expert in your field, in other words, you don’t have a breadth of knowledge and relatable stories to share; then a podcast is not right for you. If your business is centred around non-customer service retail and lower ticket items, then podcasting is a difficult path; it is more suited to ‘Thought Leaders’.
If you are looking for a quick return on investment with almost instant significant increases in sales, you may need to focus your time and budget elsewhere, as podcasting is about building a relationship with your audience and, over time, attracting the right people to come looking for you.
Podcasting suits particularly professional services based business leaders (owners and CEOs) who want to make a difference, share information and stories and change mindsets. You want to build your brand (whether personal or business) so you are seen as a Voice of Brilliance.
Ultimately, it is about positioning yourself as someone helping change the world
Avoid why podcasts often fail
Avoid why podcasts often fail
The first thing people think about when they decide to start a podcast is all about the setup, choosing the right microphone, what other equipment they need, whether they should go to a studio, what software to use for recording, how to edit and how to then publish. Then there is how to get the music to use, voice-overs recorded for intros etc.
What people don’t focus enough on is the actual recording itself.
- How do you manage to make yourself an expert on your own show?
- What do you talk about?
- How do you engage your audience?
It can be daunting, but it does not need to be.
You don’t have to waste hours that turn into days learning what and how to use various equipment and software. The truth is you will lose patience trying to be an expert in something that is not your core skill. All of the above can be done for you, even leading the conversation so are just the expert on your show, being a Voice of Brilliance.
You are thinking about having a podcast because you believe more people should know the great value you bring through your insights, knowledge and experiences. That should be the sole focus for you, and let someone else take care of all the rest.

Our FAQs
Our FAQs
Podcasts allow you to stand out from the crowd (very few current and consistently produced podcasts) and build credibility. If you want to build your business or your personal brand, it is a fantastic medium. Podcasts also give you easy-to-produce content for social media, newsletters, emails, and websites and provide value in educating even your existing clients. If you want to be seen as a Thought Leader, a podcast is a must. If you are a business owner in the professional services or management consultant space (from technology to financial to coaching, HR and business leadership) or in the medical or complementary medicine space, then a podcast is worth considering. Book a meeting, and let’s talk it through.
No. The best estimates are there are less than 250,000 active business podcasts worldwide. There are more than 500 million podcast listeners each month. At the same time, there are 1.1 billion websites. If you want to stand out, podcasts are an excellent avenue for people to get to know you efficiently.
Yes, we can facilitate all these options.
By sharing your insights, expertise, and stories, you can build an audience beyond those in your inner circle, like your existing team. The more consistently you share the real you by speaking directly to your audience, the more people value and seek you out.
There are plenty of people who go it alone. There is much to learn and much to maintain. Most people run out of puff quickly. You must also remember that you are doing a podcast to build your credibility rather than becoming a tech expert, being an interviewer, editing and publishing. You can do many things in business yourself, but you know an expert who is passionate about that area is always a better use of your time and money; they bring better results. Focus on what you do best; just be the expert in the area or your passion.
To be a Thought Leader, you must reach beyond your inner circle. You need to give your ‘thoughts’ to a broader audience consistently. There is no better way than having a conversation on your podcast so people listen and absorb your insights. People do business with people who can demonstrate they are relatable and assist with their challenges.
By allowing a broader audience to understand more of your value proposition and why you stand out, you attract more ideal people towards you and your business. You can use your podcast in many ways beyond simply publishing it. You are educating even your existing audience and making something easily sharable with their networks. It can open doors otherwise closed to you, creating new opportunities. Talk to us about your business and the techniques that will best suit you. Together, we can build a podcast to engage and attract more people so your business grows.
It depends on what you are trying to achieve. A podcast is about building a longer-term relationship with people, whether those you already know or new people. Downloads are not a measure of success. For a more detailed response, check our free e-book guide, “5 Secrets
People Don’t Tell You About Becoming A Successful Podcaster”.
No. While it is nice if you have access, it is an overspend, returning little value. Even those who watch a podcast are not expecting a TV studio. The majority only listen, and you can achieve great sound from your home or office. When you have guests on the show, many will be unable to come to your local studio anyway, so you have more flexibility in recording online.
No. The majority of people listen to podcasts while they are doing other things. Even those who watch a podcast on YouTube do so for very little time before moving to view something else while continuing to listen. Video is useful for creating shorter clips for use on social media. Video is more expensive to edit. While it is great if you can afford the investment, it is not critical.
Remember you are starting a podcast to be seen as an expert in your area. The role of a co-host is to make sure you are seen as the expert at all times. They worry about the timing, production notes, quality of the record and keeping the conversation moving.
A professional co-host is an expert in leading a conversation making you, a guest, feel comfortable. Many podcasters make the mistake of ‘interviewing’ someone with pre-thought-out questions and not listening to what is being said. When you are leading a conversation, that
should be your primary role. If you want to be seen as a go-to person and not just a supporter of the guest, you need a professional co-host to keep things balanced.
The answer is no unless it is professionally produced and/or you have an excellent open relationship with the person. Too often, these podcasts fall over because one person is dominating. Even if you want to have two of you as the regular experts on a podcast, consider
the additional value of a professional co-host to keep things balanced. It’s a formula used successfully in radio for many years.
